Perfect location in a great town to base your self to tour the area. Our room had a newly renovated bathroom and lots of space. Access to the hotel is very easy, especially for an old town. You can drive right to the front door, unload your bags and park in either the hotel's car park or 1 minute away on the edge of town. Parking was never a problem and a delight. Marc, the proprietor can give you lots of tips on where to eat, see and do. There are some great restaurants within a 15 minute drive of the hotel, including a Michelin 1 hat restaurant in a vineyard.

Fantastic breakfast options with delicious croissants and bread. Rooms offer views of the surrounding valley. - Perfect location in a medieval village near the town center and a hill that offers stunning panoramic views.

A memorable stay in a 17th century hotel. We booked over the internet not really knowing what to expect. We were so pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the area and the location of the hotel in the town square. The accommodation was excellent, and central to two very good restaurants. We would definitely stay at Hotel Des Consuls again if we were travelling through this area of France.
We were disappointed with breakfast.

Dificult finding the hotel as it was night time when we checked in and the GPS brought me through streets which were barley wide enough to get through. The hotel manager/owner was extreamly polite and helpfull. He gave us recommendations adn great directions to various activities and sites we wanted to visit. The suite we stayed in was more then spacious since we had 3 adults staying. Personally I think the suite is well suited for a family of 4.
The hotel and town closses down fairly early. If one is looking for night life this is not the place to go during April. However, if you are looking for peacfull strolls through a very quaint town (12th centry) this is the place for you.

Food was BRILLIANT and I have nothing but really great memories from this trip. The superior twin room didn't seem appealing on photos but it was cosy with own terrace looking down on valley.

The hotel is fabulously located right on the village square and it is such a gorgeous village. Our room looked out over the square, and had a great view over the tiled house rooves to the scenery beyond. The room was simple but comfortable and attractively laid out, the breakfast was good and the staff were all very friendly.
The lighting in the bathroom was very dim. Also the shower screen had a large gap between the top of the bath and the bottom of the screen, so it was not possible to shower without getting water everywhere.

The entire village is charming, and the restaurant next door is first-rate. The hotel staff was friendly and spoke English much better than I spoke French. They took great care of me as a single traveler and I would definitely come back!
I have nothing negative to report.
